FEATHERS MOTOR SPORT MAKES WINNING START TO 2023 AT DONINGTON PARK

Feathers Motorsport [FMS] made a glorious return to the UK-based GT Cup Championship with a double-class win, and two further podium appearances, in the season-opener at Donington Park last weekend.

This outstanding all-round team performance ensured the Northamptonshire-based squad, and its drivers James Guess and Tom Canning, left the opening meeting of the 2023 series, leading the GTH Class standings. It also marked FMS’s most successful single racing weekend yet with its Inspire Engineering-prepared Aston Martin Vantage GT4, with a second and third place adding to the two victories.

Feathers motor sport continues as GT Cup class lead with podium frenzy at Brands Hatch

Feathers Motorsport continued its fantastic start to the UK-based 2023 GT Cup Championship with another trio of podium finishes, this time on the famous Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit, in Kent. Two third places in the GTH Class (for GT4 specification cars) on the opening day of the double-header meeting, and a second position on Sunday morning’s Sprint race, means the team continues to lead the class standings after two events and has maintained its 100% podium record for classified finishes.

FEATHERS MOTOR SPORT TAKES ANOTHER VICTORY TO EXTEND GT CUP CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD

Feathers Motorsport continued its glittering form in the 2023 GT Cup, recording a brilliant third GTH class victory of the season with its Inspire Engineering-prepared Aston Martin Vantage GT4, at Snetterton, in Norfolk last weekend (3-4 June).

The Northamptonshire-based team, along with drivers James Guess and Tom Canning, also maintained their 100% podium streak for classified finishes, by appearing on the rostrum a further three times over the weekend – that makes 11 GTH Class (for GT4 specification cars) podiums in total. A win, two second places and a third ensured that FMS maximised its opportunities through Rounds 9-12 of the UK-based series.

FEATHERS MOTOR SPORT CONTINUES EXTRAORDINARY PODIUM STREAK AT OULTON PARK

Feathers Motorsport [FMS] extended its amazing run of class podium finishes in the UK-based GT Cup in 2023, after the Northamptonshire-based team recorded two further third places in the first single-day meeting of the season, at Oulton Park, in Cheshire. The results ensure that FMS, which returned to the championship this season in the GTH Class (for GT4 specification cars) with its Inspire Engineering-prepared and run Aston Martin Vantage GT4 along with drivers James Guess and Tom Canning, continues to lead the class with 10 races to go. The team has now finished on the podium no less than 13 times this season (including its three class victories), and heads to Rounds 15-18 at Silverstone having maintained a 100% record of rostrum appearances for classified finishes.

FEATHERS MOTOR SPORT REMAINS IN THE GT CUP CHAMPIONSHIP HUNT DESPITE BRUISING SILVERSTONE WEEKEND

Feathers Motorsport [FMS] extended its podium tally to 14 in the UK-based GT Cup series at Silverstone over the weekend (29-30 July), but the ‘Home of British Motorsport’ was not kind to the erstwhile GTH Class championship-leading squad, after a significant Race 2 accident ruled it out of the rest of the weekend’s action.

Such has been the success of FMS in 2023 – the Northamptonshire-based team has only been off the podium on four occasions so far this season – that despite recording three non-scores at Silverstone following the crash it remains deep in the hunt for the GTH Class title. FMS is just 15.5 points off the class lead as the championship draws towards its climax with four-race rounds left to run at Donington Park (16-17 September) and Snetterton (7-8 October).
