Information we collect and why
- Enquiries: your name, email address, optional phone number, subject, message and submission time. We use these to respond, keep track of correspondence and discuss partnerships or services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract where applicable.
- Portal accounts: email address, account identifier, sign-in credentials managed by our authentication provider, account approval and access status, and download requests needed to provide media access. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in managing authorised access and protecting media resources.
- Website security: technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs and anti-abuse signals may be processed by our hosting and security providers. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website and its users secure.
- Published content: names, roles, biographies, race results and photographs of drivers, team members and other people involved in the racing programme. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in reporting on and promoting our motorsport activities, subject to individuals’ rights.
The contact form indicates required fields. Without them we may be unable to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through the form. We do not use these website services to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
Who receives information
Information is available to authorised team members and technical service providers supporting the website, hosting, authentication, security, file storage and email delivery. These include Google Firebase / Google Cloud and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise. Enquiries may also be delivered to the team by email. We may disclose information to professional advisers, regulators or authorities where necessary to meet legal obligations or protect legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information. A website enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.
International processing
Our technology providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. The protections required for a particular transfer depend on the destination and service involved, including any UK adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards. Contact us for details of the providers, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your information.
How long we keep information
Retention depends on the purpose of the record. We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting relationship, dispute or legal obligation. We assess this by whether the matter remains open, whether the record is needed for an ongoing relationship, and any applicable legal requirements.
Portal account information is needed while access is authorised and may be retained afterwards where necessary for security, access administration or legal claims. Security logs and temporary download files have separate operational lifetimes. Contact us if you would like the retention criteria for a particular record or to request deletion.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive or transfer information where the right to portability applies. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions.
Send requests to the email or postal address above. We may need to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month; if the law permits an extension, we will explain why.
You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
